I am not quite sure if people are able to easily find this website, but I hope that those that do enjoy it!  The St Nicholas Square village collection is a great one to collect because it is not insanely expensive, plus, it only dates back to 1990 and in Christmas village years, that is not too old!

I’d like to see this site become a little more robust.  If you found your way here, please let me know how!  Was it a websearch for St Nicholas Square, or did you find the link somewhere?  In any case, thanks for stopping by!

    Hi Mrs. Claus,
I have been collecting SNS village info, too. Love your site & thank you! Now I don’t have to create one myself. My info is stored in a spreadsheet and would interest you. I have better pictures for many of the pieces — collected from Kohl’s, eBay, Kaboodle, and Worthpoint which I will share. I may have found a few more pieces, too. Recently, the SNS brochures from 2000 to 2010 were auctioned on eBay — went for about $20. Wish I had purchased them.

  2. Mrs Claus says:

Thanks Jim! I’d love any info you have for me! You can email me at

I plan to do the next import of info in April. Thanks!

I want to sell 5 pieces. 2002 New Hope House, 2001 Service Station, 2003 Holiday Theater, 2004 Log Cabin, and 2000 Train Station. But am having trouble finding information on their value. Does anyone have a good source for pricing?

I am responding to your question “how did you find site” question. Please be advised that I googled for St. Nicholas Square Village and found your awesome site. I have been a collector for the past seven years. I set them up under the Christmas tree, with a Holiday Express Christmas tree encircling it. Joy! :-)

  5. Brenda says:

I also googled St. Nicholas Square Village and found your site on the 1st page. I have been looking for a site like this. Last year I could not find anything. I started collecting in 2008.

  6. Christina says:

I had a hard time finding your website. I searched St. Nicholas Square Village Collection twice before it popped up on the first page. It would have been great to see it before now, my mom has been collecting for almost 10 years and she has gotten me started on it. Glad I found it now! Love your village collection.

  7. Gloria says:

Was searching all over the internet for St. Nicholas Square information when I found your site. Have 12 buildings, tree house, covered bridge, windmill and several miscellaneous pieces that I have been researching for their value. Information seems to be scarce. Cannot even find some of my pieces mentioned anywhere, such as the “Book Shoppe” (1998) and a piece titled “General Store and Farmer’s Market” and another one titled “Greenhouse and Florist Shoppe.” This is such a nice collection, have all the original boxes; but I just cannot continue to maintain it. Hope to find a buyer.

  8. Mrs. Claus says:

Thank you for all the positive comments, and for letting me know how you found us! As we swing back into the holiday season, I hope to be able to update the site with much more regularity. I do have files sent in from helpful readers to flush out the list and photos of the village pieces!

Gloria, eBay might be your best bet – although they charge a bunch of different fees it could be your largest audience. Craigslist is of course free but usually geographically limited. If someone on here is interested perhaps they can contact you? People might be a little leary though, as there is no protection on a fan site. I did have a message board up at one point thinking that it could be used for an unmoderated marketplace but the coding did nto work properly. If I get it working I will repost it!

  9. Gloria says:

Thank you for the suggestion of eBay and Craigslist. This might be an option. I certainly understand people being leary of buying from an individual through a fan site. I would like to tell you that your website is so nicely done. As a fan of St. Nicholas Square pieces, it is a fun and informational place to visit with a “professional” quality that is combined with warmth. Great job!

This site is a terrific resource for SNS information. I have about 75 buildings in my Christmas village display that takes up the enitre dining room area. The display goes up just before Halloween and is taken down in February. My SNS village display quickly outgrew the ping-pong table, so I now use several 8 foot folding tables.

  11. Dania Sveum says:

Did you design the site this well with the default blog tools? Your blog is incredible.

  12. SonSuzann says:

What’s up everyone – I am a fresh participant on your board and I suspect I would do best to tell you a few things about myself. First off, I’m 21 years old, a man, and I study english at my university. I truly can’t wait conversing with all you people! Au revoir for now

  13. Michelle says:

I did a Google search looking for a complete list of the buildings. I just learned of the collection from my sister who has been collecting for years.

  14. Bob says:

Any sites that provide details to setting up your village once you have the pieces? We have a bunch of the st nicholas stuff and am interested in others ideas on set-up. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

  15. Karen says:

I need help! I accidently put the lightbulb & holder all the way in the hole of the train station and now can’t get it out. Has anyone had that experience and can offer advice on how to get it out? Thanks

  16. Mary says:

I found your site last year when I googled st Nicholas square village. I started collecting in 2007 while visiting my aunt for christmas. She has an amazing collection, it took up three 8 foot tables. We went the day after Christmas and started mine.I really like all the pictures. I hope you add more. I look forword to more posts.

  17. Bob says:

Just started collecting village items and model railroad for a combined Christmas display for grandchildren. I am interested in buying more but I cannot tell if the earlier St Nicholas display items advertised on the internet are the same scale as the Kohl’s St. Nicholas items…. Do you know the answer.

  18. Brenda Jarrell says:

My husband loves St Nicholas Square Village, and we have many many pieces and little items to support the beauty of the Christmas arrangement. HOWEVER, we are finding that the light cords are not working. There is no fuse to replace in many of them, so we are struggling to get them to work. The adapter with the two connections are the ones that I am speaking. We have replaced bulbs and replaced bulbs, and yet my husband cannot get them to work. We were hoping to get them all lit before packing them away for next year’s holiday.

Is there a place that we can repurchase some of these adapter cords, so that all the lights will twinkle. That is what creates such beauty in the set.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From all the postings and research Dennis has done, it appears that Kohl’s does NOT stand behind this and we are not sure which direction to take next…

HOPING you respond with the answer.. Thanks

I also googled St. Nicholas Square village and found your page. Very happy to find you. I have been collecting since ’07, with a few being older pieces I’ve purchased through Ebay. Before any new purchases, I have 45 buildings, and plan to add more this year.

  20. Carol Ziegler says:

I have a set of the Village I am willing to sell or piece by piece. Thanks Carol

  21. G. Long says:

Thank you for having this website. I found you through google search. Are you planing on adding info on newer seasons?

  22. Jenn says:

Hello. I have a 1998 village 10 pc starter set with house and church. I cannot find any information or value on what so ever! I see one listed on ebay that has vague info. Can you help me with this?

  23. Betsy Cramer says:

This is a great site. I agree it was hard to find, maybe it should be listed on the checklist at Kohl’s. Currently it says to contact for assistance.

  24. Doug Adams says:

Love your site…. have been collecting SNS for about 5 years now. I thought I saw a marching band at one time but I cannot find it any where. Was there such a thing or am I seeing things

  25. Barbara Patterson says:

I found this website by searching the Internet. I’ve been collecting now for about 5 years and now have many pieces. I am setting up my 2014 village this week and will try to post pix as soon as I can. I would always be interested in purchasing retired pieces (although I do use e-bay). I would love to have a lighthouse. I have one from another collection, but it is not to the St Nicholas Square scale.

  26. James dean says:

Having problems with new pieces with a light and a plug for outside lights

  27. Karen Buehler says:

I have a Gum-drop Shoppe from the 1998 collection. Would like to get a value but cannot find it listed anywhere. Any ideas out there?

  28. Krystal says:

How do I know what is retiring this year 2015?

  29. Elysse says:

Looking for info on the original 1990 collection. My mother has some of the buildings but I wanted to buy the remaining for her if I could. Been scouring the internet and cant find anywhere where it tells me what pieces are in the original set.

  30. Karen Brown says:

My daughter gave me the log cabin decoration couple years ago. just opened the box this year and the light and sound do not work. seems the transformer is bad. how can I get a replacement transformer?

  31. stockshark says:

I also had an issue with the cords with two plugs with the light going out and not working with new bulbs just discovered that the bulbs needed for those cords are a 6 watt 6 volt bulb found mainly online but I found a 6 watt 12 volt bulb sold at both homedepot and lowes that works perfectly!!! Nothing is wrong with your cords they will work with these bulbs. YAY!!!! Best of luck!

  32. Kristina Gustafson says:

Thanks Stockshark! I found this site because I was trying to find out why the replacement bulb for my log cabin wasn’t working. I just ordered a 6w, 12v bulb from Amazon. Hope that does the trick! I was not aware the log cabin was supposed to play music. Is it supposed to do that the entire time it is on or is there an on/off switch?

I have a 2006 Holiday Hill sis that I have misplaced the power cord. Do you have any ideas as to where I can get a new one? Thanks. Also, I would the site by googling.
